How soon can I expect to see results?
When you choose to lose weight, you can expect to lose about 1 kg per week with our weekly menus, depending on your starting point. If you're aiming for weight gain, you'll gain about 0.1 to 0.3 kg per week.
Faster weight changes are unwise, as they can lead to long-term setbacks, nutrient deficiencies, or excessive fat storage. We therefore advise against deviating significantly from our recommended ratios.
What if I don't see any results?
The calorie calculation is detailed but still based on averages. Some people burn more or fewer calories. If you're aiming to gain or lose weight and don’t see results after a few weeks, adjust your calorie intake by 100-200 kcal per day in your profile settings. This will be reflected in your new menus.
Note: When losing weight, results on the scale may not show if you're also exercising intensely, as muscle gain may offset fat loss. Pay attention to how your clothes fit or measure your waist, hips, etc.
Can I change my goal during the process?
Yes! In your profile, you can adjust your details, such as weight and goals. We will recalculate your calorie needs and macros, then update your weekly menus accordingly. This allows you to easily switch between fat loss phases and periods focused on muscle gain.
Can families also follow along with the menus?
Your family members or friends can easily join you at the table. Go to 'Family' and add your partner, then select them for the meals in your weekly menu. Adjust the calorie intake for those joining, and the portions will be updated in the recipes and grocery list.
Alternatively, you can create separate accounts for both partners, with their own goals and macros. You can then select the same recipe for lunch and dinner, so you don't have to cook separately, while keeping your weekly menus personalized to your needs.
Should I eat according to a new menu every week?
Variety in your diet is important to prevent nutritional deficiencies. With a subscription, you receive a new personalized menu every week, ensuring healthy, varied, and balanced meals.
However, you can also choose to stick to a set pattern. You can follow the same weekly menu for several weeks or repeat daily menus. Just make sure not to eat too monotonously for an extended period.
Is it bad if I miss a meal once?
Absolutely not! Don’t focus too much on the details, but try to stay close to your advised macro and calorie needs throughout the day. Missed a meal or ate a bit more than planned? No problem! Just compensate a little at your other meals.
YourFoodPlanner follows the 80-20 rule. If you eat healthy 80% of the time, there's room for a little indulgence with the remaining 20%. Don't be too hard on yourself, but make sure the exceptions don’t become the rule. Keep the balance, and you’ll be doing great!
I have an allergy. What now?
Through your dashboard, you can exclude common allergens such as gluten, lactose, and nuts under 'diet preferences.' Your weekly menus will be tailored to include recipes free from these allergens.
Additionally, your personal dashboard allows you to exclude specific products, ensuring that the menus fully meet your preferences.
I don't like an ingredient. What now?
If your weekly menu contains recipes or ingredients you'd prefer not to eat, you can do the following:
- Replace the meal by clicking 'Replace' for a new recipe.
- Exclude the ingredient through 'Diet Preferences' in your dashboard, and it will no longer appear in future menus.
- Choose and add recipes to your schedule via 'Meal Moments,' or select specific categories, such as having yogurt for breakfast daily.
- Alternatively, you can try the adventurous route and give the recipe a go – sometimes, the right preparation can make surprising ingredients taste great!
